Job Description

This position reports to the Employment Services Division in the Greenville Region. Incumbent will directly support the Department of Employment and Workforce employment services related programs within a SC Works Center and access points, providing customer guidance, programmatic support and professional services. Serves as manager for local employment services staff and works with SC Works operators to ensure program integration within the center and surrounding areas. This position requires travel to the following counties: Greenville

Minimum And Additional Requirements

High school diploma and four (4) years of experience in recruitment/selection, interviewing, counseling, assessment, workforce development or similar type activities. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience. Supervisory experience for internal candidates can include point-of-contact experience, managing projects, training, etc. but must be included on application. Current, valid driver's license required. The selected applicant must possess or be able to obtain a valid South Carolina driver's license within 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge, interpretation and application of state and federal laws, regulations, policies and procedure pertaining to DEW administrative programs and the areas of employment are required. Ability to plan, monitor, explain, and exercise sound judgment when providing employer navigation services within a SC Works Center service structure. Must have the ability to establish good customer rapport, to maintain effective working relationships with center partners, and to utilize effective communication with the SC Works Operator, all staff, employers and private agencies, as well as the general public. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task and maintain focus and discipline.
