Position Information


The Chantecaille Regional Makeup Artist is the charismatic, expert in artistry, a welcoming Chantecaille ambassador that delivers a highly skillful makeup artistry and an exceptional and elevated client service with a special focus on Makeup; Plus on Skincare and Fragrance.


The Regional Makeup Artist embodies all Chantecaille most elevated values and standards, providing exceptional client experiences with their professional makeup expertise in store through service, events, as well as meeting and achieving Daily and Event Goals ensuring to drive the business success. Aside of this role requiring a high level of skill in makeup artistry & application , is also needed : exceptional verbal & written communication, presentation, public speaking, & social media skills.



Position Responsibilities


  • Delivers an exceptional artistry & best-in-class client service with a special focus on Makeup; Plus, on Skincare and Fragrance, providing an inspirational and personalized in-store experience which educates and delights Chantecaille customers.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to effectively deliver training content and expert artistry skills.
  • Lead consumer-facing store events with the most excellence, driving incremental retail sales based on set regional goals, via the successful execution of in-store and online events, consultations, and masterclasses with retail partners.
  • Travels through the Region.
  • Partners with brand and field teams to continuously enhance the client experience, evolving service and selling approach to meet the needs of the changing landscape.
  • Energize event teams, store management, & other partners to consistently maximize results.
  • Proactively partner with field leadership to anticipate potential wins & challenges re: appointments, client profiles, business goals, stock, & competitive activities.
  • Recap & debrief Sales and Training Executive and or and Regional Executive by submitting comprehensive & timely feedback, daily recaps.
  • Drive BA & Client Engagement via exceptional Training delivery
  • Professionally represents the Chantecaille beauty image and standards of artistry by adhering to Chantecaille’s selling and training guidelines.
  • Drive freelancers and counter staff’s engagement in alignment with local needs and brand direction, ensure any brand- specific social activity is aligned with Chantecaille’s global vision & brand ethos.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in authoring, editing, and delivering relevant social assets that resonate with Chantecaille's target consumer & strategic objectives.
  • Invite every customer to sit down and have a skincare/color consultation, listen and identify customer needs.
  • Spends non-customer times with retailer’s top sellers, stylists and management, promoting Chantecaille’s products.
  • Reviews daily goals throughout the day: focus on New Launch, slow selling and highly stocked products
  • Collaborate with corporate and store partners to assure the counter maintains and displays the brand’s merchandising guidelines and standards.
  • Ensures the counter guide, image, identity, and hygiene in accordance with Chantecaille standards.Reports any out of stock and communicate to counters/stores of in-coming stock/out of stock.
  • Submit to supervisor: daily recap form.
  • Reviews Sales Report, Sell Thru List and OOS to prepare for creating a focus for the week to come.
  • Plans travel.
  • Recurrent sales call meetings: weekly individual call with Sales and Training Executive or Regional Executive, weekly call with Regional Executive, National Sales Call Every other week.
  • Additional meetings and calls can be scheduled up to the discretion of the Regional Executive or higher management.
  • 70% Travel within the Regional Territory, 20% Travel Nationally.
  • Visits 5 doors per week - 50% over night.
  • Occasionally has an Office Day, as needed, with Regional Executive approval.



Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Expense Reports.



Seasonal Responsibilities:

  • Travel Budget if travel is needed.
  • Vacation Request (supervisor must approve all vacation requests)



Position Qualifications


  • Minimum of 5+ years professional experience as a makeup artist and beauty educator; should demonstrate full mastery.
  • Demonstrates high level of skill in makeup artistry & application. Makeup portfolios preferred.
  • Demonstrate agility, professionalism, and flexibility to changing landscapes and consumer behavior.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally engage audiences on social media platforms.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented, strategic & creative mindset, collaborative leadership.
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication, presentation, public speaking, & social media skills.
  • Proficient knowledge and awareness of beauty industry, market and competitive trends.
  • Best-in-class selling and negotiation skills.
  • Track record of effective working relationships across levels: brand leadership, retailers, BAs, and clients.
  • Knowledge of computer programs - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
  • Manage personal expense budget and complete timely spend reports.
  • Must be able to travel extensively.
  • This position must be self-motivated and able to manage schedules and deliver excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to successfully collaborate with cross-functional partners and key stakeholders from Chantecaille and US headquarters.
