Regional EHS Manager

Summary

The Regional Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager provides safety systems management, customer management, and EHS support for a multi $100M global physical security program that supports a datacenter client. The Regional EHS Manager works to strengthen safety culture and assure safety culture is maintained across the global program in alignment with our client’s EHS program. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, energetic, and self-directed individual with excellent presentation skills and incident management experience.


Essential Functions

  1. Support Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) duties in the region and support global EHS team as needed.
  2. Ensure governing directives such as OSHA (or similar for other countries) are followed.
  3. Provide coordination, relationship building with the client, and framework strategies for the EHS team.
  4. Develop and present slide deck presentations, working with field operations, subject matter experts and stakeholders.
  5. Present to high level stakeholders.
  6. Remotely provides expert incident management for injuries, from intake to creation of root cause analysis and presenting corrective action items.
  7. Take escalations for EHS at any time, including weekends and holidays.
  8. Provide robust communications with quality information to stake holders when escalations are required.
  9. Coordinate EHS related projects with other leadership teams, such as training, technical communication team, and project managers.
  10. Database management and reporting; using Power BI and Excel to create and maintain EHS system and reports.
  11. Responsible for document retention.
  12. Schedule, facilitate, for client and internal meetings using client meeting technology.
  13. Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend changes to workflow and operating practices to improve efficiency.
  14. Conduct annual review of safety-related documents in partnership with stakeholders.
  15. Maintain a “customer service” approach to problem solving and work with client to find solutions to questions or concerns.
  16. At the direction of the Director of EHS, perform other duties as assigned to ensure the overall success of the Datacenter Physical Security program.


Special Requirements

  • Have a current passport or be able to obtain one.
  • Able to travel (international or domestic, as required) approximately 50% of the time, occasionally with limited notice.
  • Able to work evening or weekend hours when required, such as during an emergency or high-priority event.
  • Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.


Minimum Hiring Standards

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication, such as cell phone.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license or equivalent.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the country where the position is located.
  • Must be able to travel to countries and meet country’s entry requirements.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
  • Must have a high school diploma, secondary education equivalent, or GED.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.


Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety or similar, or an equivalent combination of education and experience enough to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Nursing, EMT/Paramedic experience a plus.
  • Intermediate-level skill using Microsoft Office applications, including PowerBI, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Health and Safety regulations across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Knowledge of United States OSHA standards.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbally and written Comfortable presenting in front of large audiences. Interacts effectively at all worker levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to multi-task.


Compensation

The pay range provided is for a candidate based in the Greater Seattle Area in Washington State. If candidate applies from a different state, the pay range will be adjusted for locality.
