What you’ll do:

• Execute land and lot position growth across numerous Florida markets, including developing and maintaining critical business relationships with major community developers
• Oversee engineering and entitlements for all new acquisition opportunities if required

Responsibilities:

• Develop land acquisition strategy for assigned territory
• Locate new land suitable for development and its acquisition
• Participate in strategic and tactical planning. Ensure that the area land pipeline is filled in accordance with business goals and timelines
• Oversee contract administration, bidding contracts, and negotiation
• Prepare memoranda, other documentation and analytics for corporate approval for land buys
• Oversee the due diligence process on land acquisition opportunities, including initial planning work in close coordination with internal design and land development teams
• Ensure that new development projects meet all entitlement requirements
• Monitor development phases and entitlement processes post-closing

What you’ll need:

• 10+ years of experience acquiring land and lot positions for new home construction
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience successfully securing positions within Master Plan Communities in Florida
• Working knowledge of zoning and land use practices, development standards, and utility solutions
• Ability to work independently with a high level of self-motivation
• A committed team player with excellent communication skills
