In close partnership with the Vice President of Recruiting, the Recruiting Manager will lead and manage a team of Veterinary Recruiters and Sourcers. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator (written and verbal), is detail oriented, and data driven. This leader will excel in mentoring recruiting staff while fostering strong relationships with all levels of the organization.
Remote work is supported with travel as needed.
To Thrive in this position candidates should be able to:
Lead a team of DVM recruiters with responsibility for coaching, mentoring, and recruiting metrics
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Talent Acquisition resources, talent management, and employment law; exercises this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to the company
Develop KPI and measurement strategies for assessing recruiter performance
Proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing successful talent attraction programs and initiatives
Demonstrates sophisticated influencing skills with leadership
Thought leader/SME on sourcing and recruiting strategies
Reviews and interprets data, creating presentations and communicating wins, concerns, and trends
Monitor all DVM Recruiting metrics and manages requisition loads and business demands
Communicates with direct report’s operation leadership to collect feedback and address any areas of concerns while celebrating wins
Leverages data to coach and influence hiring managers and make decisions on candidate strategies
Collaboration with talent vendors to ensure efficiencies
Provide leadership and advice to hiring managers and interview teams
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar business-related degree
10 years of progressive recruiting experience with a minimum of 5 years of recruitment management of a remote recruiting team
Experience with a multi-state, multi-entity, private equity, growth organization strongly preferred
Effective, clear, and persuasive oral and written communication skills
Talent and experience with negotiations and networking
Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, accurate, thorough; ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the company
Demonstrates a “whatever it takes” attitude; must possess the ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
Self-directed, highly organized and can easily navigate ambiguity and create order
experience supporting the evolution of a high performing, high morale culture
Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making and measure program performance
Ability to travel when needed
