Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Implement on-site activities such as pool and beach games, arts and crafts, movie nights, and scavenger hunts, etc.
  • Create and update SOPs for new activities and procedures.
  • Act as the main contact for all vendors and maintain positive relationships.
  • Maintain knowledge of all recreation offerings and be able to clearly articulate to guests.
  • Resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Develop scheduling for resort activities.
  • Analyze resort activities prices and labor costs to ensure resort activities are priced appropriately.
  • Help create weekly schedules for team members.
  • Ensure accurate reservations and booking processes.
  • Be a proactive seller of resort activities and research potential new resort offerings.
  • Execute group teambuilding and activities events.
  • Be an ambassador of all recreation programs.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.

Secondary:

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of?related experience in event programming and hospitality?
  • Experience working with kids in a professional and elevated setting is a plus
  • Retail experience is not required but a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in recreation, hospitality, tourism or event planning preferred
  • Trained in basic first aid and CPR
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform job functions in outdoor environment with exposure to sun, high temperatures, wind and the ocean.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to squat and bend.
  • Ability to work long hours as needed.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to swim

Mental Demands:

  • Problem solving at a fact paced, high level to insure guest satisfaction.
  • Must have a strong business aptitude.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, able to handle multiple concurrent projects and be able to independently identify and solve key business problems.
  • Excellent communications skills (written + verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills are of the highest importance.
