The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for working with staff and for guests to develop events and activities consistent with resources, needs and interests of the resort guests at the Recreation Center. This is a supervisory position that requires extensive planning, organization and decision-making.
Duties & Responsibilities

Provide the utmost in guest service to all guests visiting facility.
Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to the management.
Follow security and safety standards at all times.
Maintaining all water play/ sport areas for safety and preventative maintenance.
Training and motivating employees to perform at maximum potentials.
Scheduling of staff to ensure all shifts are covered, and that all events are prepared.
Working knowledge of all equipment and safety regulations used for activities.
Communicating and assisting outside vendors with activities such as horseback riding, beach fitness, watercolor art class, and water wars.
Making arrangements for use of common areas and meeting space to be used for recreation activities and events.
Managing supply inventories including ordering and requisitioning supplies, and keeping a par level of stock that is cost effective to the operation without affecting the guest experience.
Communicating closely with Maintenance regarding repairs, updates to soft goods, paint, and general building maintenance that is needed.
Maintaining strong relationship between Grand View Lodge marketing, sales and front desk departments to make sure communication is seamless.

The position may also require the ability to lift over 80 pounds occasionally.
This position requires the ability to stand, and, walk, 4 to 5 hours at a time, climb stairs, reach, and bend.
High degree of professional and personal integrity
Education & Experience
Two (2) years guest service experience in a Fitness Club, Resort or similar service-oriented business model preferred
High school diploma or GED and two years guest service experience preferably in the hospitality industry.
Requires that the occasional need and use of company vehicles. A clean driving record for one year or more is required to meet insurance requirements.
