Essential Functions

Operate telephone switchboard; relay messages to telephone stations; greet members and guests; schedule entertainment for member events, open mail and verify billing through the accounting system, accept/assist members with their accounts, assist members with any requests for administrative assistance such as copying, etc, keep reader board signs up to date, do lunch/dinner special menus

Additional Responsibilities

  • Answer the telephone
  • Take telephone messages; log telephone calls
  • Route telephone calls
  • Greet members and guests
  • Provide schedule and other club information to members and guests
  • Sort/distribute/verify statements/bills from incoming mail
  • Collect and post outgoing mail (including overnight mail services)
  • Assist members with charge records/billing issues/payments
  • Maintain supply of club activities information to make available to members
  • Receptionists also does:

° accept meal reservations

° schedule entertainment for guests

° maintain member and guest records (including visits by guests, member charges, etc.)

° update and maintain member mailing and telephone lists

° type correspondence/assist with administrative excel/word needs

° maintain appearance of reception area

° maintain/order office supplies

° do lunch/dinner special menu’s

° maintain a lost and found program

  • There may be additional duties assigned from Supervisor. The tasks listed are not a limit on assignments/responsibilities that may be given
