Job Description

What we seek:

Rael is seeking a local dynamic and energetic content creator with a strong interest and passion for Social Media. The Social Media Intern will help with content creation, community management, influencer programs, and supporting the Marketing team with everyday initiatives relating to Rael’s social channels. We would like you to be full of creative ideas and eager to learn about Social Media and Influencer Marketing. The ideal candidate will work well on their own, and have a positive attitude, a creative eye, and exceptional writing skills, all while being detail-oriented, results-driven, organized, and a dependable team player. This is an excellent opportunity to expand marketing skills in a collaborative and fast-paced working environment. Most importantly, we would like you to genuinely love our products, and brand and have a passion for the cause we believe in. 


Classification: Part-Time, Temporary Employee 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Closely monitor TikTok trends daily and leverage insights to recommend new, on-trend concepts that have the potential to go viral 
  • Create high-quality content for Rael’s TikTok account that will grow followers and drive engagement (minimum 8-10 videos/week) 
  • Support the team at analyzing TikTok & and Instagram performance, and help identify ways to improve content across social channels 
  • Research and propose social media tactics to deploy across social platforms  
  • Assist Social Media Manager in weekly, monthly, and quarterly social metric reports
  • Support team in sending out at least 10 influencer mailers a week from Rael Office 
  • Support team in identifying up-and-coming influencers on a weekly basis 
  • Actively stay abreast on trends and emerging social platforms 
  • Support social media channel growth with competitive research 
  • Be flexible to the changing needs of social media channels 
  • Coordinate influencer and social sample requests with Rael’s warehouse   


Qualifications:

  • Ability to come into Culver City, Los Angeles office twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays
  • Current college junior or senior studying Communication studies, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field
  • Passionate & and knowledgeable about social media. Experience with TikTok is required
  • Strong content creator with experience making TikTok videos 
  • Ability to film and edit video content from home (with Rael-provided equipment) 
  • Comfortable being on camera and speaking to the camera for TikTok content 
  • High aesthetic bar to consistently delight our users and elevate our positioning
  • A true self-starter; unafraid to ask questions and clarify misunderstandings
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication skills and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working in the Google Suite of products: Gmail, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.
  • Able to work independently, taking ownership & and accountability over your work, while working in collaboration with and having access to team members who will provide advice and guidance 
  • Committed to work for at least 3 months (part-time) 
  • Available to work at least 3-4 days a week for 3-4 hours (16-20 hours a week)
