As a Radiology Tech at our medical facility, you will play a crucial role in performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will be responsible for operating medical imaging equipment, ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely imaging results.
Key responsibilities
Performing diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs according to physician orders
Operating and maintaining medical imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance
Positioning patients correctly and safely for imaging procedures
Ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self
Assisting radiologists and physicians in interpreting and evaluating imaging results
Providing compassionate and supportive care to patients during imaging procedures
Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation of procedures
Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure effective and efficient patient care
Adhering to all regulatory and safety guidelines in the radiology department
Participating in continuous training and education to stay updated on advancements in radiology technology
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an approved school of Radiology Sciences with certification in diagnostic radiography
Licensed as a Registered Radiologic Technologist by the State of Ohio and registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with secondary certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
Knowledge of medical imaging procedures and equipment operation
Understanding of radiation safety protocols and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Attention to detail and accuracy in performing imaging procedures and documenting results
Strong patient care and empathy skills
Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards in radiologic imaging
Physical stamina and dexterity to position and assist patients during procedures
Ability to adapt to evolving technology and techniques in radiology
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
Basic life support (BLS) and CPR certification
Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred
