Job Description
Statement of Purpose:
The Manager of Imaging Services is responsible for the daily supervision of all CT, Radiology, Mammography, Ultrasound, MRI, PET, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiology Nurses. The Imaging Manager must possess a good working knowledge of all work processes. The manager must serve as a role model for technologists and nurses in the area of imaging quality, patient care and professionalism. The Imaging Manager will have direct input with the Director of Diagnostic Imaging regarding the hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination of all Diagnostic Imaging personnel.
Job Summary:
Must have a working knowledge of: budget preparation and control; departmental staffing and disciplinary procedures; marketing, patient and public relations strategies; planning and implementing new programs; and interpreting and managing physician interaction and requests with regard to Diagnostic Imaging.
Position Qualifications:
Education
Associate degree from an accredited institution required.
Bachelor’s degree in Radiology, Management or related health field preferred.
Diploma or transcripts required upon hire.
Experience
Minimum of 5-years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.
Minimum of 3-years’ supervisory experience in an Imaging area required.
Licenses/Certificates:
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only).
