Shift:8 Hours; Afternoons, 3.00p – 11.30p
Schedule: 40 hours / week guaranteed, 5 shifts per week, Mon-Fri; Every other weekend, Some On-call may be required
Position Requirements
Radiologic Technologist Experience: 2 years – Required
Philips equipment experience: 1 year - Required
Travel/contract experience – Highly preferred
Education, License And Certification Requirements
ARRT Certification - Required
BLS Certifications from AHA - Required
Job Description
Responsible for taking radiologic films of various parts of body to assist in detection of foreign bodies and diagnosis of diseases and injuries.
Positions patient and equipment appropriately to accurately demonstrate the area being examined, requiring extensive anatomic positioning skills.
Provides appropriate radiation protection for patient and staff during radiation exposures according to prescribed safety standards.
Adjusts technical factors to provide appropriate exposure by use of independent judgment, knowledge of human anatomy, effect of disease on the radiograph and the principles of radiation as well as the specific operation of all radiologic equipment within the department.
Initiates requisitions, adds or modifies charges, acknowledges exams, requiring the use of the computer.
Ability to recognize and report malfunction of radiographic equipment appropriately.
All other duties as assigned.
