Take diagnostic X-rays for Radiologist viewing. Perform C-arm cases in OR. Portable X-ray exams hospital wide.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
GE and Siemens X-ray rooms. GE portable X-ray machines. GE OEC C-arms. GE UV PACS and Meditech EMR.

All shifts are staffed with at least 2 techs. May perform portable exams alone. No Call necessary. Weekend shifts vary if coverage need.

Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
Will work with lead Tech on department orientation on day one. Once completed travel tech will “shadow” lead tech on protocols and procedures, computer systems etc. Once lead feels travel tech is capable travel tech will be able to shoot X-rays in department and portably working alone when needed.
