This R&D QA Scientist contributes to the success of PepsiCo by executing consumer-centric Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs and by generating key metrics with insights for PepsiCo North America Foods. This role requires bespoke food safety and quality systems knowledge and interfaces with R&D and Supply Chain leadership. Supporting of R&D projects which includes product innovation and technical brand stewardship projects, preparing reports and analyzing Food Safety and Quality metrics to create intelligence and insights based on data analysis to drive actions for food safety and quality improvement are some of the key responsibilities of this role.
Responsibilities
Accountable for preparing reports and analyzing metrics for food safety and quality.
Expected to create intelligence and insights based on data analysis to drive actions for quality improvement
Must possess the ability to balance competing priorities on a day-to-day basis. Must be able to prioritize projects and then re-prioritize them at a moment’s notice.
The ability to logically think through steps and determine issues, set up and work through testing scenarios find the issue, set up and run same scenarios after the issue is resolved and take ownership of the results
Must be a self-motivated and highly creative individual. Must have a clear understanding of the mainframe environment
Create Scorecards and reports using Quality data from multiple source systems
Super user of MS Excel
Compensation and Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is between $66,300 - $111,000 based on a full-time schedule.
Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 5% of annual salary paid out annually.
Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
Minimum of 1-2 years industry experience working with food safety and quality programs and data analysis
Experience in product manufacturing or product development preferable
Strong knowledge in the area of food safety and quality assurance
Advanced level knowledge of MS Excel use
Work well in a team environment with business users and demonstrate strong communication skills (oral & written)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Hands on experience on Microsoft Office tools
Knowledge on Tableau and IBM Forms Experience Builder is preferable
