Position – Quality Manager

For our client Wacker Neuson, a German worldwide leader in manufacturing light and compact equipment within the landscaping, construction, and agricultural industries, we are looking for a Quality Manager who will manage a team of 5 to 7 people as well as supervising a total of 15 members. The role will report to the Director of Manufacturing & Quality at Wacker Neuson America.

Position Summary:

Summary: The Quality Manager’s role is to develop and implement robust quality management systems to ensure that high-quality standards are maintained across the product portfolio. The position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain key metrics related to the quality of products manufactured on-site and the quality of goods acquired from the external supply base/partners. The position will plan, coordinate, and manage the Quality Team personnel to lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts, analyze data, resolve non-conformities, and mitigate future risk through data-driven and fact-based communication.

Required qualifications & attributes:

• Strong Leadership or Supervisory experience is required.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is required. MBA is preferred.
• 7 years of Operational Quality experience with a minimum of 5 years in a decision-making role is required.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, supplier evaluation methodologies, and industry standards.
• Certification in CMQ/OE or Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred) preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with knowledge in Measurement, GD&T, Capability Analysis / SPC, and Gage R&R.
• Working knowledge of metrology equipment including CMM, FARO arm, and scanning software.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills.
• Solid conflict resolution and interpersonal skills. Experience with a Union Shop preferred.
• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. SAP and NX CAD experience is preferred.

Travel/relocation:

• Located in or willing to relocate to Menomonee Falls, WI
• Supplier visits: est. 10% (escalation with supplier together with sourcing team).
