Quality Director

We have an outstanding position open for a Quality Director to join a leading aerospace precision machining company- Kessington Aerospace, LLC - located in Elkhart, IN.

Operating Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide support to the operation by identifying waste and trends of non-conformances

and analyze the causes for improvements.

Review individual work orders and operations for fallout

Initiate improvement activities to reduce and eliminate waste

Review customer returned and internally generated non-conforming material

Manage Quality team members

Handle customer and third party audits

Handle supplier quality issues and approvals

Solid experience and or certifications in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and/or Six Sigma.

Hold current ASQ certifications for Manager, Auditor, or Engineer is a plus

Ability to create and approve AS9100/IS0-9001 policy procedures

Experience as the Management Representative for AS9100/IS0-9001

Chair Management Review meetings

Be able to work independently

Problem solving, quality judgments, understanding instruction, and communicating with all levels of plant personnel and management will be necessary

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge of Nadcap checklists a plus

Job Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Manager in production of close tolerance metal machining for the aerospace industry

Minimum 5 years of experience with AS9100 / 150-9001 quality systems

PC Skills - Word, Excel, Outlook

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer EOE
