Quality Inspector

OGS Industries is seeking a Quality Inspector at our OGS Progressive location to ensure customer satisfaction through compliance of internal and external customer imposed quality control requirements.
The hours for a full-time 1st Shift Position - flexible hours - M-TH 10 hrs or M-F 8 hrs or M-TH 9 hrs & F 4 hrs - starting time can be discussed.
Essential Duties
OGS Industries is seeking a Quality Inspector at our OGS Progressive location to ensure customer satisfaction through compliance of internal and external customer imposed quality control requirements.

Essential Duties
- Understand and follow OGS quality system requirements.
- Review and understand customer requirements.
- Provide documentation and results during Receiving, Layout, In-process, and Final Inspection.
- Document SPC as needed to support quality efforts.
- Follow Inspection Plan Documents (IPD's) that provide a basis for making quality decisions in accordance with customer requirements and OGS procedures.
- Use approved gauging and measurement techniques.
- Properly use inspection equipment, product inspection techniques, system software, and follow established OGS quality system procedures, and work instructions.
- Perform calibration activities and maintain calibration system as required.
- Wide variety of mechanical inspection-type measuring equipment, (i.e., dial/digital micrometers, calipers, height gages, CMM, optical comparator, hardness instruments
- High School graduate or equivalent required. A minimum of five (5) years Quality Control/Assurance Inspection experience is required. Helpful if qualified candidate would be able to operate manual CMM and Optical Comparator.
- Experience with weld macro etch testing (destructive weld testing) would be helpful but not required,
- Basic understanding of metal manufacturing operations. Drawing interpretation including GD&T. Knowledge of non-destructive and destructive testing and measuring techniques. Knowledgeable in the applications and requirements of ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF14949
