Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team! You will inspect, test, sort, sample, and/or weigh raw materials or processed products for defects and deviations from specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, test, and/or measure dimensions of materials and products for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or templates
• Read drawings, data, manuals or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, formulas, or measuring equipment required
• Reject products or materials not meeting specifications
• Record inspection or test data, describing results, recommendations or needed repairs
• Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance/rejection status
• Notify supervisor or other personnel of production problems.
• Clean and maintain measuring instruments or test equipment
• Wear all required PPE (Eye, face, hand, and foot protection)
• Be able to read, comprehend and adhere to the company's process management system requirements and provide improvement recommendation as needed
• Immediately report quality, safety, and/or environmental problems and follow-up on their resolution
• Be able to lift 75 lbs, and work in various positions, such as standing, bending, kneeling, etc.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in quality control or other related fields
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
