Job Description

Our partner specializes in the comprehensive design and construction of diverse equipment, encompassing mixing, drying, compounding, reacting, extracting, and centrifugal separation, catering to a wide array of manufacturing applications. As a Quality Inspection Technician, you’d be responsible for receiving, handling, preserving, and storing incoming products, as well as preparing parts and equipment for shipping. This role fully supports our partner’s quality system by inspecting parts for defects such as breakage, excessive wear, or manufacturing discrepancies. The technician verifies part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, or other appropriate measurement devices, reports non-conforming parts, and consults with engineering or manufacturing for disposition. The role also includes logging material onto the NCMR log, releasing parts into storage, retrieving parts when required, participating in periodic assessments of stored items, reading and interpreting blueprints, crating and packaging outgoing material, and handling hazardous materials per instructions or MSDS sheets. Responsibilities

  • Receive, handle, preserve, and store incoming products.
  • Prepare parts and equipment for shipping.
  • Fully participate in and support the B&P Process Equipment & Systems quality system.
  • Inspect parts for defects such as breakage, excessive wear, or discrepant manufacturing.
  • Verify dimensions of parts using calipers, micrometers, or appropriate measurement devices.
  • Report non-conforming parts, consult engineering or manufacturing for disposition, and log material onto the NCMR log.
  • Release parts into storage and retrieve parts from storage when required.
  • Participate in periodic assessments of stored items as part of internal auditing and inventory management.
  • Read and interpret applicable blueprints.
  • Crate and package all outgoing material.
  • Handle all hazardous and environmentally unsafe materials in accordance with instructions as marked or on MSDS sheets.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities to keep them in professional operating condition.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge equivalent to completion of accredited apprenticeship training or three years of technical training courses beyond high school.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with other employees and customers.
  • Working knowledge of weight scales.
  • Familiarity with FARO (CMM), GD&T (Geometric Dimensional and Tolerance measuring), and hand-held measuring tools.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Experience with weight scales.
  • Proficiency with FARO (CMM).
  • Understanding of G, D & T (Geometric Dimensional and Tolerance measuring).
  • Skilled in using hand-held measuring tools.
