JOB TITLE: Quality Control Manager – Government Services
Bargaining Unit Status: Non-Bargaining Unit
FULL-TIME (hours per week: 40) M-F 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of Quality inspection practices and procedures is required
Must have a working knowledge of the requirements of Quality Assurance/Quality Control programs.
Must know the requirements for the GMC/Janitorial contracts Period Work Statement (PWS) and Statement of Work (SOW).
At least two years of experience as a Supervisor/ Assistant Supervisor preferred
Experience in creating and maintaining schedules
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be authorized for coverage under agency insurance, have a good driving record, valid driver’s license in the state/territory of contract operation, and/or required level of personal auto insurance
Must complete a background check, per company requirements, satisfactorily
Must be able to maintain DOD security clearance at the Secret level. (Current Secret Clearance preferred)
Ability to communicate with tact and maintain confidentiality
Adequate ability to communicate in spoken conversation – adequate volume of speech
Adequate ability in writing/reading/mathematics
Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with management and peers
Strong organizational, project planning, and management experience with proven analytical and multi-tasking skills
Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficiency in quality control, general reporting, and basic file management
Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of OrangeQC or other QC Software
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:
Assistant Director, Government Services
POSITIONS SUPERVISED (or Team Lead responsibilities, if applicable):
Senior Quality Control Inspectors and Quality Control Inspectors
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure all daily and monthly Quality Control inspections are scheduled to ensure areas are inspected (by priority)
Ensure the QC Inspection schedule reflects the rotation of non-prioritized areas
Prepare and distribute weekly QC Reports
Prepare, compile, distribute, and file the quarterly Quality Control Trend Analysis under set standards.
Follow up and make visits as necessary to ensure customer complaints are followed up and cleared, and corrective actions are documented properly
Monitor monthly service area additions and deletions and make necessary changes to the Quality Control database and supporting documents
Perform QC administrative work as necessary, including:
QC Data entry/Data update
QC trend analysis production
QC reports and correspondence filing and archiving.
Perform random inspections monthly to ensure standardization and inspector compliance with existing procedures
Perform and ensure pre- and post-occupancy inspections are completed as directed
When performance discrepancies are found during inspections, ensure the project management is informed of the performance necessary to bring performed work to Phoenix Service-established quality standards
Administer cross-training for all QC inspectors to ensure adequate coverage
Ensure all equipment and supplies are in their designated locations. Monitor employees for safe working practices and environmental compliance in their work areas and relay negative information gained to project management
Ensure customers’ complaints are immediately addressed for validity and correction
Check on customer call-ins/complaints as directed by the project management
Ensure all buildings are re-inspected as necessary to ensure contract compliance.
Ensure proper safety, tasks, and inspection of assigned vehicles are documented weekly
Write performance appraisals and brief employees supervised by company directives
Act as initial approval authority for assigned employee requests for leave
Coordinate with assigned employees to ensure they complete paperwork and attend meetings according to company requirements

Ability to communicate by telephone and emergency information systems
Ability to be independently mobile on all surfaces and situations
Ability to move safely around the work area
Ability to retrieve items from high and low areas
Ability to perceive size, discrimination, temperature, shapes, and/or textures
Physical stamina to work at least 8 hours per day
