Our client generates $60M/year in revenue and is a stable, growing operation that’s been in business for over 40 years. They specialize in Civil & Vertical Construction.
This Quality Control Manager will ensure compliance with the written QC Program. This QCM will also generate and submit daily and monthly inspection reports, along with all necessary QC-related forms, drawings, test results, and inspection reports.

Job Title: Quality Control Manager
Project Types: Civil & Vertical Construction
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control plans, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities, materials, and equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including test results, inspections, and corrective actions. Produce and submit daily and monthly inspection reports, as well as all other required QC-related forms, drawings, test results, and inspection reports.
Team Coordination: Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to address quality issues and implement improvements.
Training: Provide training and guidance to field personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to general and specific safety practices, following company safety manual procedures, and cooperating with our safety representative in a positive, proactive manner.
Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve quality issues promptly to minimize project delays and costs.
Project Close-out: Perform project close-out activities related to quality control, such as coordinating the punch list, providing final quality documentation, and compiling quality control reports.
Skills & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or any related field (preferred).
At least 5+ years of Quality Control or Project Management experience in a civil construction environment.
Experience in field inspection and familiarity with CTDOT projects is a plus but not required.
Knowledge of Heavy Civil Construction processes and industry standards.
Proficiency with Procore, Office365, and Adobe PDF.
Meet the standards for eligibility in a mandatory FRA Regulated Drug and Alcohol Testing Program, which includes undergoing a pre-employment drug screening.
