Quality Control Manager

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control throughout the production process. The successful candidate will develop and implement quality control systems, monitor production standards, and ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations. The Quality Control Manager will work closely with production teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Establish quality control checkpoints throughout the production process to monitor product quality and identify defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Work closely with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions plan
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to establish quality requirements and standards for raw materials and components.
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement in the quality control
  • Train and mentor quality control staff to ensure a high level of competence
  • Coordinate with other departments to address quality-related issues and customer concerns.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to quality
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence throughout
  • Submits audits and CAPs to licensors and retailers as necessary
  • Requests new factories and factory audits in Retail Link
  • Coordinates with factories and overseas team for sustainability data and submits to retailers as required
  • Follows up with factories on audit renewals and samples for testing
  • Follows up with third party labs for testing status
  • Requests protocols from labs as necessary
  • Maintains Testing/Inspection and chargeback logs
  • Identifies when styles are a continuous problem and works with factories on a CAP
  • Review color submissions as needed. Maintains lab dip and shade band approvals.
  • Host and attend webinars as needed
  • Maintains files of test reports, inspection reports, audits and other certificates
  • Upload required data to various retailer and quality control sites
  • Prepare GCCs and CPCs as needed


Qualifications:

  • 4-5+ Years of experience in a Quality Control role or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in quality control management, with a strong emphasis in textiles.
  • WM knowledge with retail link and compliance processes
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies
  • Familiarity with relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA regulations).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
