Role: QC Chemist

Job Description
We are looking for a qualified QC Chemist who will be responsible for overseeing environmental sampling in our cleanroom and DI water system, as well as acting as the primary liaison with our third-party microbial testing laboratory. The ideal candidate will be familiar with USP 60, 61, and 62 standards, possess strong coaching and leadership skills, and be able to guide other QC analysts in aseptic sampling techniques and handling issues through the third-party lab.

Job Description
We are looking for a qualified QC Chemist who will be responsible for overseeing environmental sampling in our cleanroom and DI water system, as well as acting as the primary liaison with our third-party microbial testing laboratory. The ideal candidate will be familiar with USP 60, 61, and 62 standards, possess strong coaching and leadership skills, and be able to guide other QC analysts in aseptic sampling techniques and handling issues through the third-party lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Environmental Sampling: Oversee and perform environmental sampling in cleanroom environments, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques and regulatory standards.
- DI Water System: Manage sampling and testing of the DI (Deionized) water system to maintain water quality and compliance.
- Third-Party Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact with our third-party microbial testing laboratory, coordinating sample submissions, data transfer, and addressing any issues or discrepancies.
- USP Standards: Ensure compliance with USP 60, 61, and 62 standards for microbial testing and environmental monitoring.
- Deviation Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve deviations related to microbial testing and environmental monitoring.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to environmental sampling, microbial testing, and third-party laboratory interactions.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in environmental sampling, testing, and laboratory interactions.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Microbiology, Biology, or related field).
- 4-6 years of experience in a QC Microbiology role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of USP 60, 61, and 62 standards.
- Proficiency in environmental sampling techniques and aseptic practices.
- Experience with DI water system sampling and testing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior QC analysts.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and compliance.
