As we continue to innovate and expand our operations, we require a leader to oversee all quality control processes and ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards. In this position, you will play a critical role in managing a team of 4 QC/QA leads and several other indirect reports, implementing effective quality programs, and driving continuous improvement within our quality control systems. We are searching for a detail-oriented individual with experience in leading teams and a proven track record of success within the Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control field.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the quality of all potato and potato seed products, ensuring they meet established standards and customer expectations.
Lead and supervise a team of 4 Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) leads, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
Develop, implement, and maintain effective QA/QC programs and procedures.
Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits (e.g., Primus, Customer, Regulatory) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Lead the process for corrective and preventive actions related to non-conforming products.
Manage the calibration and control of monitoring and measuring equipment used in the QC/QA processes.
Analyze data and identify trends to continuously improve quality control processes.
Maintain accurate and complete quality control documentation.
Implement and enforce company policies related to quality assurance and control
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Agriculture or a related field or 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control field in the food industry.
Proven experience in leading and motivating a team.
Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP) and quality control principles (e.g., Six Sigma) highly desirable.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Compensation And Benefits
$70-90k base salary.
Up to 10% bonus at management discretion
