My client, one of the worlds leading developers of renewable energy projects, is looking for three Civil/Mech inspectors to join their team on a long-term, multi-year assignment.

Full per diem will be paid and full details can be discussed following resume submittal.


Preferred Background:


Civil Engineering or Civil and Mechanical Trade background with a focus on solar or industrial construction.


Required Skillsets:


  • Civil and mechanical construction knowledge
  • Unifier skills for data entry and project controls
  • Drawing review and field quality control inspection
  • Organization and progress reporting
  • Computer skills: Outlook, PDF edit, Word, Excel, document control systems, PowerPoint
  • Communication with third parties and suppliers
  • Schedule and planning understanding


Job Description:


Represent the Owner in overseeing third-party solar field civil and mechanical installation during solar plant construction. Responsibilities include managing mass grading, road construction, civil improvements, SWPPP, fencing, foundations, racking, safety, and mechanical systems commissioning. Ensure compliance with engineering plans, project specifications, quality control, schedules, and safety goals.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Manage mechanical and civil scopes, including schedules and engineering interfaces
  • Collaborate with various disciplines to establish project priorities, schedules, and work plans
  • Report progress, quality control, and safety on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Record and upload Mechanical and Civil installation QC photographs
  • Facilitate processes for information requests and design change notifications
  • Ensure efficient, effective, and safe project implementation in line with procedures, regulations, contracts, and policies
  • Verify constructability, advise on resource allocations, assess field status, and resolve issues
  • Walk down systems and manage punch-lists
  • Review project completion packages for accuracy and completeness
  • Interface with designated safety, engineering, and quality control parties
  • Oversee solar field commissioning activities related to Mechanical Systems
  • Perform other assigned job-related duties
