HarperCollins Christian Publishing is seeking a fully remote Quality Assurance Manager to join our digital products team. This role will oversee the quality assurance process for HCCP’s consumer-oriented websites and mobile apps, which span multiple brands and reach tens of millions of users each month. This role involves ensuring the highest standards of quality, performance, and user experience across all platforms for the following brands: Bible Gateway, Study Gateway, FaithGateway, ChurchSource, HarperCollins Leadership Essentials, The Foyer, and Cider Mill Press.
The QA Manager will lead and automate testing efforts, manage bug reports, and coordinate with developers and Customer Service to ensure functional and high-quality user experiences.
Responsibilities
Knowledge:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with platform-specific user interface patterns and trends. Familiarity with Bibles and book publishing is not required but is a plus.

The QA Manager will lead and automate testing efforts, manage bug reports, and coordinate with developers and Customer Service to ensure functional and high-quality user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead the QA process for all web and mobile app submissions and existing releases, including managing bug reports and proactively testing functionality.
- Create detailed test cases, scripting, release notes, and other technical documentation based on specs and tickets.
- Automate testing where appropriate to prevent regressions.
- Hit quality benchmarks as defined by the team.
- Act as a second-level support to review and reproduce escalated customer inquiries from Customer Service.
- Communicate effectively with Customer Service, internal developers, other internal QA resources, and external development agencies/vendors regarding bugs, fixes, and releases.
- Continuously monitor and improve the QA process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Knowledge:
- Manual and automated QA testing methodologies for both web and apps, especially Selenium.
- Understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and QA’s role within them.
- Selenium or similar testing automation framework.
- Cross-device testing, both physical and virtual (Browserstack).
- Proficiency with Atlassian products (Jira/Confluence) or similar project management/bug-tracking tools.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Skills:
- Manual quality assurance testing processes.
- QA automation (Selenium).
- Atlassian software suite (Jira, Confluence) or similar.
- Version control systems (Git).
- Writing internal documentation for web and app releases.
- Methodical and organized.
- Works well both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Technical writing skills.
- Curious and driven to learn.
