In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC) from a quality assurance perspective. You will build and manage a high-performing QA team, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to deliver exceptional results. You will also collaborate closely with development, product, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that meets customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of QA Analysts/Testers
Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with project goals and SDLC methodology
Design and execute test plans, including various testing methodologies (functional, non-functional, etc.)
Identify and document defects and bugs, working with developers to ensure timely resolution
Champion best practices in software testing and quality assurance
Track and report on QA metrics and KPIs
Stay current with the latest advancements in QA tools, technologies, and methodologies
Foster a collaborative environment within the QA team and across departments
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in software testing, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
Proven experience in developing and implementing QA strategies
Strong understanding of various testing methodologies (functional, non-functional, automation, etc.)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
Experience with bug tracking tools and reporting systems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Additional information
Duration: 6 months contract
Type of contract: contractor (C2C or w2 hourly)
Location: Remote, occasional traveling to Dallas, TX might be required
Timezone: Central time
Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
