Reports to: Operations Manager, President

Job purpose:

In this role, you will conduct on-site and remote audits for underwriting agents across nine states, providing training, underwriting, and closing support to independent agents. Collaborating with the leadership team, you will work to achieve company goals and ensure effective agent oversight. You will implement new oversight techniques to adapt to the evolving regulatory landscape and contribute to technology development initiatives. Additionally, you will balance ALTA Best Practices compliance with underwriting standards while helping agents manage their business operations effectively. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Perform both on-site and remote audits in multiple states

· Oversee agent audit and compliance program

· Analyze data to identify new oversight criteria and techniques

· Review agent reports and information from various sources to identify high-risk agents and create an auditing schedule

· Develop and enhance the company's web-based underwriting system to improve service, agent oversight, and administrative efficiency

· Promote and train agents on ALTA Best Practices and update them as required

· Coordinate with appropriate resources for premium remittance

· Recommend agent terminations when appropriate

· Conduct new agent review and on-boarding processes

· Capable of effectively collaborating with and supporting various departments as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Duties are performed in an office environment with sitting for long periods of time, utilizing standard office equipment and personal computer. Travel is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Thorough knowledge of escrow and accounting practices for title companies

· Understanding of title underwriting standards

· Familiarity with closing and title search processes

· Effective communication skills in both oral and written form, in person and by phone

· Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, expressing ideas and suggestions with candor and professionalism

· Receptiveness to new business approaches and technology

· Experience with 3-way reconciliations: book, bank, and trial balance

· Familiarity with closing and title search processes

· Proficiency in a variety of software products and aptitude for learning new systems

· Ability to balance agent accountability with the need to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships

· Capability to self-direct and multi-task in a high-stress environment

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

· Five plus years of direct experience working in the title industry

· Microsoft applications; experience with title software and Quickbooks a plus

Duties are performed in an office environment with sitting for long periods of time, utilizing standard office equipment and personal computer. The position will be based in Denver, CO. The candidate needs to be able to work at the office as required.
