We are looking for a determined Quality Control Inspector/Manager to join our team at one of our precision sheet metal companies located in NW Houston. As a QC Inspector, it will be your responsibility to ensure only the highest standard of quality for our manufacturing processes while also overseeing and inspecting products to accommodate our customers’ requests.
Responsibilities:
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of sheet metal parts and components to verify conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) to measure dimensions accurately.
Document inspection results, test data, and quality control activities accurately and comprehensively.
Maintain detailed records of inspection findings, including deviations from specifications and corrective actions taken.
Provide training and guidance to production operators and other personnel on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.
Ensure that equipment and tools used for inspection are properly calibrated and maintained.
Support customer audits and inspections by providing documentation and responding to inquiries related to product quality.
Requirements:
Must excel in reading calipers and most measuring devices.
Be computer literate
Proficient in reading engineering drawings and specifications.
Certification in Quality Management. (PREFERRED)
Experience in Quality Control/Assurance within the sheet metal industry.
Exceptional math skills.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
