Principal Consultant | Dietary Supplement Contract Manufacturing

Mackenzie Stuart is currently partnered with a market-leading dietary supplement contract manufacturer seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchasing Manager to optimize their procurement processes and lead initiatives that enhance efficiencies in sourcing and supply chain management.

Responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to meet company goals.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, scalability, and competitiveness.
  • Negotiate and establish favorable terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Implement process improvements to optimize procurement workflows.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and reliability of materials.
  • Develop and manage supplier performance metrics to ensure high standards.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and certifications in all procurement activities.
  • Coordinate with other departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.


To be considered for the role, the following education, experience, and qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain management role within the dietary supplement, OTC drugs, or food production industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of the dietary supplement contract manufacturing market, as well as the wider health, wellness & fitness industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced, challenging setting, managing multiple projects concurrently and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and effective time management.
