Advanced Practitioner Opportunity- Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to complete Prisma Health’s Critical Care APP Fellowship Program. APPs with or without critical care experience will be considered. A certificate of completion from Furman University will be awarded upon successful completion of the one-year program.

Details:

• Complete an intensive training program focused specifically on the care of critically ill patients in the Medical ICU, Neurology ICU, Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, and Cardiovascular ICU.
• Rotate through the specialty ICUs on a monthly basis, acquiring the medical knowledge and procedural skills necessary to safely and efficiently care for this patient population.
• Receive supervised procedural training for endotracheal intubation, central venous catheter insertion, arterial line insertion, and small-bore chest tube insertion.
• Follow a structured curriculum of didactic materials and incorporate regularly scheduled lectures and simulations.
• Performance evaluated by satisfactory completion of tests pertaining to the curriculum and application of this knowledge in the clinical environment.
• Schedule includes both day and night shifts at Greenville Memorial Hospital as well as surrounding Prisma Health facilities. Lengths of shifts may vary, but average 13 hours.
