HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR: 40 hours/week and 52 weeks/year

GENERAL PURPOSE
The public safety officer serves and protects the campus community. Duties include but are not limited to ensuring buildings are secured and safe, making themselves available to the students, faculty and the staff for assistance and assisting in emergency situations on campus.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The hiring hourly rate for this position is $20.00/hour. This hourly rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Foot, bicycle and motor patrol.
- Responding to medical and other emergences.
- Report writing.
- Operate and maintain the command center (building alarm systems, fire safety and closed circuit televisions systems)
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be approachable and professional.
- High school diploma or GED
- More than 8 years of work related experience
- Licensed pursuant to the New York State Security Guard Act of 1992
- Certified in first aid, CPR/AED/Narcan
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
