We have an immediate opportunity for an organized undergraduate student to join our Corporate Communications team as a Public Relations Intern. The Intern will have an opportunity to accelerate their personal and professional growth through a professional learning environment.


Under the direction of our VP, Corporate Communications, our Intern will add value and contribute to key projects. We anticipate this position will work 20-30 hours per week and can be based anywhere in the US.


What You'll Do (aka Responsibilities)

  • Content Creation: Develop and refine writing skills by drafting various types of content including drafting press releases, media advisories, pitches, thought leadership bylines, blog posts and other communications materials. May also include creating content for social media, newsletters, and website copy.
  • Media Relations: Work in collaboration with Azul’s PR agencies in the US, EMEA and APAC to compile media lists, pitch stories and ideate around media opportunities.
  • Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors and target audiences to support PR campaigns and strategies.
  • Creative Input: Offer creative ideas and insights to contribute to PR campaigns and initiatives, including brainstorming sessions and strategy meetings.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Assist in analyzing PR campaigns’ performance metrics, including media impressions, social media reach and website traffic. Help prepare coverage and other reports.
  • Professional Development: Take advantage of learning opportunities within Azul such as attending marketing meetings, PR agency meetings and training sessions to gain exposure to various aspects of PR and communications.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor in all communications and interactions, representing the organization positively to external stakeholders. This includes adhering to deadlines, following company protocols and upholding confidentiality when necessary.


What You'll Bring (Education, Skills)

  • Education: Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program majoring in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications, with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (on 4.0 scale)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Able to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
