Luxury French cosmetics brand, Sisley-Paris, is looking for a charismatic Public Relations Coordinator for our in-house PR Team. The PR Coordinator is a vital part of our department in driving the brand’s overall awareness through public relations initiatives to generate visibility for our new product launches, boutiques, New York Maison, and unique family story. The role requires a dynamic and experienced individual to support the Vice President of Public Relations and Director of Public Relations as well as manage one intern. Ideal candidates will have one to three years of experience in public relations, preferably in the beauty industry.


Responsibilities:


General:

●       Must be an independent thinker with hands-on, can-do, “roll up your sleeves” attitude; an open-minded team player with a collaborative attitude

●       Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and high-energy environment

●       Ability to work well in a team environment but flexible working independently, meeting goals and deadlines

Strategy:


●     Participate in weekly PR status meetings with the New York public relations team

●     Participate in strategic brainstorming sessions with internal marketing, public relations, and digital team members

●     Participate in weekly calls with social and creative team at French headquarters

●     Brainstorm ideas for PR opportunities and develop strong angles for pitches, press releases and local influencer campaigns

●     Build and foster relationships with assistant beauty editors, industry experts and influencers

Mailings & Product Management:


●     Manage inventory of products to ensure that the products are ordered, arrive on time and are put away properly.

●     Organize and execute all editor and influencer mailings alongside the team:

●     Brainstorm creative concepts, manage vendors, order products, draft mailing cards and work on creative with the in-house team, create mailing lists, create mailing labels, and organize and pack all mailer boxes in coordination with our warehouse

●     Own the sample request process, partnering with the cross-functional teams to coordinate the fulfillment of all incoming sample inquiries from media outlets, makeup artists, hair stylists, and influencers while updating and monitoring the shipment tracker and sending tracking to recipients

Reporting & Media Lists:


●     Execute daily search for press credits online and in print and draft weekly press credit e-mails to headquarters and the field

●     Update monthly press reports with all press credit mentions using DMR service

●     Create reports following large events, product mailers, etc. to recap initiatives and highlight key results, feedback and learnings

●     Assist in updating all media lists and contact lists with new contact information

●     Support with identifying new contacts that are a fit for the brand

Influencer Outreach:


●     Assist in researching targets for organic seeding and outreach through Campaygn platform

●     Work with headquarters to identify targets for larger content partnerships and spearhead from start to finish (i.e. create content briefs, send products, manage timelines, etc.)

●     Monitor and track influencer coverage through Campaygn and identify retained opportunities

Events:


●     Assist in planning and execution of PR events in key markets (i.e. product launches, deskside meetings, boutique openings, press trips, etc.)

Required Experience and Skills:


●     Bachelor’s degree preferred

●     1-3 years of communications experience, preferably in the beauty industry, with an understanding of luxury media, influencer space, and the editorial landscape

●     Established industry and editorial relationships are a plus

●     Proactive, flexible, organized, and hardworking

●     Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to identify new opportunities

●     Impeccable follow through

●     Must be comfortable working a hybrid schedule (remote + in our New York office 3 days / as needed)
