About the Job:
Metro PR, an entertainment-focused communications firm, is hiring an Account Coordinator who will play a critical role in supporting various client accounts. The Account Coordinator is responsible for handling the day-to-day administrative aspects of account management. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, foresight, and the ability to multitask and navigate through a fast-paced environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop PR expertise, learn from senior staff, and contribute to the success of our clients' PR campaigns.
Candidates should have a passion for, and working knowledge of, entertainment content including television, film, and podcasts. Company clients include Disney, MTV, iHeartMedia, Wave Sports + Entertainment, and Lemonada Media, among many others. Candidates should have at least one year of professional experience in a fast-paced environment, with some background in public relations, entertainment, or in an agency setting. The ideal candidate has some working knowledge of media monitoring tools, and is also an avid pop culture consumer.

Key Responsibilities:
Centralize and manage client assets and materials including digital press kits, comprehensive press reports, and media lists
Coordinate internal and external meetings/calls with great attention to detail
Prepare client meeting agendas and take comprehensive notes
Track high-volume, daily media coverage using various media monitoring tools
Generate weekly press reports for internal and external distribution
Draft client press opportunity briefing sheets and itineraries for review
Conduct industry and client research as instructed by account leads
Stay informed of industry news in entertainment trades and social media
Join internal client brainstorms and gradually contribute proactively
Eventually, begin to draft simple pitches and engage in pitching under manager's discretion
Provide on-site support for client media engagements, including premieres and conferences
Facilitate phone and in-person interviews between clients and media
The compensation for this role ranges between $22 and $24/hour, depending on skills and experience. This position is hybrid. Candidates will have the flexibility to work from home on most days, but candidates should reside in the Los Angeles area to accommodate regular in-person obligations such as company-wide workdays, training and client events. Typical working hours for this position are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, however, flexibility is required, and overtime, including nights and weekends, may be necessary based on business needs. This is a non-exempt position, where the employee is entitled to overtime pay. Overtime work will be compensated in accordance with state overtime laws.
