Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#120280) at the rank of assistant or associate professor in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. The start date for the position is August 1, 2025. The position is contingent upon funding.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise student research, and develop a research program. Areas of I-O specialization are open. We have the nationally #1 ranked M.A. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology program and a strong undergraduate major in I-O psychology. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to support the work of the MTSU Center for Organizational and Human Resource Effectiveness (COHRE).
Required Education
A terminal degree in industrial-organizational psychology or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate hours in psychology is required by the appointment date.
Other Desirables
Applicants with strong quantitative skills, evidence of an active research program, applied experience, and the background to contribute to the broader teaching needs of the department will be given special consideration.
