A Day In The Life

We're seeking a dedicated Community-Based Psychiatrist to join our team. In this vital role, you'll practice integrated and collaborative psychiatry, supporting primary care clinicians in providing comprehensive care. Your responsibilities include managing a select group of patients with complex psychiatric needs, ensuring timely access to care and fostering effective communication among interdisciplinary teams.

Summary Of Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with primary care clinicians to integrate psychiatric care into treatment plans.

Manage a panel of patients with complex psychiatric needs, ensuring specialized care when external referrals are not feasible.

Maximize access to psychiatric care for primary care patients, minimizing wait times for consultations.

Provide clinical supervision for psychiatric RN(s) and Advanced Practice Practitioners, ensuring high-quality care delivery.

Communicate effectively with Behavioral Health and Primary Care teams to provide comprehensive care.

Deliver evidence-based psychiatric care, prioritizing patient-centered approaches.

Maintain accurate medical records and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.

Stay updated on advances in psychiatry through continuous education and training.

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the organization.

Requirements

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

Board certification in Psychiatry.

Valid state medical license and DEA registration.

Experience In Community-based Psychiatry And Collaborative Care Models Preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Commitment to patient care, safety, and well-being.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Willingness to embrace our mission and values.

Eligibility for malpractice insurance.

Bilingual language skills considered a plus.
