Job Summary

  • Provide quality patient care, clinical supervision, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Foster a care philosophy that considers biological, psychological, and environmental factors in treating mental disorders through Psychotherapy & Psychopharmacology practices.
  • Possess proven experience OR has a strong desire to provide clinical supervision amongst an interdisciplinary team.

The Psychiatrist will see new patients, perform clinical evaluations, foster long-lasting therapeutic relationships with patients, provide medication checks, collaborate with clinical leadership, and supervise clinical staff.

The individual for this role will start by primarily seeing patients (weekly target of 50) as they acclimate to our practice. We anticipate the individual will assume supervisory responsibilities over the course of 3-6 months of starting (The timeline for this transition is based on business needs).

Responsibility Composition

70% - Direct clinical care with adherence to our comprehensive practice model

20% - Team oversight and Administrative Tasks:

  • 1:1 meetings, department & company-wide meetings
  • Provide support to supervisees
  • Additional administrative duties include reviewing discharge summaries, cosigning notes, and signing prior authorizations

10% - Notes, collateral contact, and administrative work related to patient care

Qualifications

Required Education Level: Doctorate Degree

Education Details:

  • Earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited school with successful completion in a Psychiatry residency program

Licensure/Certification Requirements

  • Active and in good standing license for at least one of these states:
    • New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, or Massachusetts as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine and DEA number for at least one of the states listed above
  • Board-certified in Psychiatry
Additional Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • 4+ years of post-residency clinical work experience in Psychiatry
  • Past Supervisory experience preferred, OR interest to grow into assuming supervisory responsibilities required
  • Proven experience and desire to support Psychotherapy treatment
  • Psychotherapy Modality experience (CBT, DBT, etc.)
  • Telehealth/telemedicine experience
  • Proficient with utilizing diverse technology platforms and systems (Google Suite, company wide platforms/software and EHR platforms when applicable)
  • Intermediate computer skills and technical aptitude required

Compensation & Employment Details

Base Pay Range: $275,000 - $300,000

Pay Type: Salary

Department: Psychiatry

Supervisor: Medical Director

Supervisees: Psychiatrists and Nurse Practitioners

Employment Status: Full Time (40 hours a week)

Minimum Hours: 40

Exemption Status: Exempt W-2

Work Environment: Remote or Hybrid if desired

Work Schedule: Flexible to your preference - can be discussed at the time of the interview
