Lead the choir, sing music, and play a lead instrument (piano or guitar) for congregational singing during scheduled services and special services as needed
Provide music activities for the Protestant Gospel, Contemporary, Liturgical, or Traditional Service
Participate in rehearsals as directed
Ensure timely setup and preparation of equipment before services
Collaborate on musical selections with the Service Chaplain for approval
Lead the praise team and congregation in worship and vocally lead them as required
Recruit and recommend high-quality music volunteers from the JBSA community
Qualifications and Experience:
Familiarity with Protestant worship styles
Minimum of three years of experience with a musical instrument and ability to play, sight-read, arrange, improvise, and score music
Two or more years of college in music (or related field) or equivalent years of related experience in a chapel/church setting
Proficiency in reading and interpreting vocal and instrumental scores
Ability to work well in a multi-denominational setting
Proficient in English, both written and spoken
