Protestant Music Director should lead volunteer choirs in both Chapels: 104 units
Qualifications:
Protestant Music Director should have a clear understanding of Navy organization and the pluralistic ministry requirements that affect the use of Chapel facilities and staff.
Protestant Music Director should have at least two years of piano accompanist and worship musical leadership in a contemporary Christian church.
Duties:
Protestant Music Director should possess the ability to develop rapport, and promote teambuilding within the Protestant volunteer choirs, praise teams, and other choral groups
Protestant Music Director should notify the Command Chaplain (or Duty Chaplain) by telephone and email between 2-3 hours ahead of scheduled time when unable to perform services due to illness, inclement weather, or emergencies
Protestant Music Director should provide a pre-approved substitute when unable to perform the services required. Command Chaplain must be notified of planned substitutions two weeks in advance of arranged absences (vacations and holidays)
The candidate should arrive for all services no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the service
