Job Description:
The Proofreader is responsible for reviewing and editing materials to ensure accurate use of grammar, punctuation, syntax, and spelling, as well as correcting any grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors. This role requires 3-5 years of experience, knowledge of standard concepts and procedures, and involves checking for correct disclosure and compliance statements in advertising and promotional copy.
Responsibilities include:
Proofreads, reviews and edits materials for accurate use of grammar, punctuation, syntax, spelling.
Corrects any grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors in original copy
Requires 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager
Checks for correct disclosure and compliance statements.
Will review advertising and product promotional copy used in emails, display ads, website pages, and collateral.
Required Experience/Skills:
3-5 years of experience as a proofreader
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Experience in advertising and creative settings is preferred
