We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Proofreader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong command of grammar and composition. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and quality of our written materials.
Key Responsibilities
Read original copy or proofs to detect and mark grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors.
Verify dimensions, spacing, and positioning of text and graphical elements for accuracy.
Utilize standard proofreading symbols to mark errors and suggest corrections.
Collaborate with writers, editors, and designers to resolve any discrepancies and ensure content accuracy.
Maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency across all documents.
Requirements
Level of experience – Associate minimum.
Proficient in using standard proofreading symbols.
Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors quickly and accurately.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
