Project Manager I

Job Description

Hill International is seeking a Project Manager I in Pomona, California

Responsibilities

  • Proactive; accomplishes results through own efforts and through matrixed teams.
  • Identifies problems and solutions.
  • Provides input to project objectives, timelines, risks, milestones, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts amongst team members and, if needed, escalates to complex issues to Project Manager.
  • Ensures task completion by clarifying priorities.
  • Evaluates, analyzes, and explains facts, practices, and policies to team members.
  • Prepares presentations for internal and external contacts.
  • Familiar with utility regulatory processes and compliance regulations.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion to advise and recommend courses of action on moderately complex projects in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Applies advanced in-depth knowledge of project management support principles.
  • Proactive in addressing project team needs and sends reminders, good communicator, both written and verbally.
  • Will be interacting and coordinating with Project Managers, Department management, outside agencies, internal stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Recognizes verbal cues in meetings. (action items, requests, additional meetings to be set-up, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical/engineering/project management discipline preferred.
  • Possesses five or more years of project support experience and experience performing project management functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
  • Adept in Microsoft Excel for advanced data manipulation.
  • Knowledgeable in SAP and Primavera P6.
  • Utility experience and/or Substation/Transmission line experience preferred.
  • Experience with utility regulatory processes preferred.
  • Willing to work hybrid / remote work schedule.

The salary range for this position is $90,000-$105,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
