Job Title: Project Manager, Cyber Security

Location: Remote or Onsite in Las Vegas, NV

Type: 6 Month Contract

Bottom Line / In a Nutshell

  • 3+ years’ experience managing Security and/or Technical projects, including experience managing large programs with multiple subcontractors.
  • IT or Cyber Security related technologies and large enterprise implementations is desired.
  • Experience implementing infrastructure and cloud infrastructure tools.
  • Classic Project Management skills: building project plans (we use Microsoft Project), managing resources, writing status reports, managing vendors, including Statements of Work and professional services, etc.

Job Description:

The Contract Project Manager will work closely with the Director, Cyber Security Project Management and cyber security architects, engineers, IT team leads and SMEs at all US properties and with all levels of management to ensure that Cyber Security Services are provided as outlined in the contracts and Statements of Work with selected vendors. The role also will work closely and in coordination with the Property PMO teams and will be expected to meet with partners and customers as needed; provide regular status summaries and reports to management. This role reports to the Director of Cyber Security Project Management.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support Cyber Security strategies and programs for the overall objectives of the organization.
  • Develop project plans for medium and large sized projects based upon defined high level priorities and business requirements.
  • Manage the project budget, scope, and schedule.
  • Identify and document any changes made to original project scope and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Validate project deliverables against scope and quality expectations and participate in project stage-gates (including project post-mortems or wrap-ups), identifying opportunities for execution and process improvement.
  • Identify and manage project issues and risks throughout the life of the project, developing action and contingency plans as appropriate.
  • Make recommendations regarding policies, standards and guidelines. Assist in the creation of Cyber Security standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Create and maintain process flow diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with business standards and procedures by analyzing and measuring against current processes.
  • Assist in closing out audit items and continuous monitoring of risk assessment plans.
  • Other duties as requested

Specific Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of Computer Science / Information Science preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience managing Security and/or Technical projects, including experience managing large programs with multiple subcontractors.
  • IT or Cyber Security related technologies and large enterprise implementations is desired.
  • Experience with project scheduling and budgeting.
  • IT or Cyber Security related education and/or certifications is preferred.
  • Certified Program Management Professional (PMP) or other program management certification is desired.
  • Must possess strong and demonstrated organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to lead multi-disciplined project teams through a project lifecycle (planning-development-implementation-closeout).
  • Must possess demonstrated knowledge in project funding packages, detailed project plans, project risk identification and mitigating strategies.
  • Must be proficient and effective in the development and presentation of project related material at all levels of the organization (e.g. Management, Senior Property Management, key Stakeholders, Peers and Individual Contributors).
  • Must be able to demonstrate field presence during the planning and installation phases of the project.
  • Experience with Agile project execution, DevSecOps tool sets, with critical understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and Modern Delivery is a plus but not required.
  • Practiced in Jira Project Administrator including creating projects, Kanban and Scrum Boards, setting up sprints, and creating reports is a plus.

Minimum Requirements

  • 21 years of age
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
  • Communicate effectively in English both in oral and written form
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment Requirements

  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with management, Team Members and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Able to frequently move freely about the office, sit for long periods and withstand various activities such as frequent walking, standing, bending
  • Maintain manual dexterity to access computer via computer keyboard and operate office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, fax machine, etc. and able to access all areas of the facility and travel off property when representing the company.
