For nearly 40 years, our Client has been providing the highest quality concrete cutting, sawing and removal services in the southeast. They specialize in concrete cutting, concrete core drilling, concrete scanning as well as demolition and removal of concrete and asphalt.

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hydro Demolition and Concrete Repair Project Manager to oversee and manage our projects in their Columbia, SC location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydro demolition techniques, concrete repair methodologies, heavy civil construction, project management, and field experience. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Oversee the execution of hydro demolition and concrete repair projects from start to finish.
  • Utilize field experience to anticipate challenges and proactively address issues during project Implementation.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as needed to ensure successful outcomes.

Technical Expertise

  • Possess a deep understanding of hydro demolition techniques, concrete repair methods, and related equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, drawing from field experience to ensure work is performed to industry standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions to maintain project quality and efficiency.

Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on all project sites, leveraging field experience to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions for project personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices during project execution.

Budget and Cost Management

  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance, utilizing field experience to make informed decisions and optimize resource utilization.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize project profitability.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for new projects.

Client Communication and Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and providing regular project updates.
  • Leverage field experience to anticipate client needs and foster positive relationships that promote future collaboration and business growth.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality results.
  • Utilize field experience to mentor team members, conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.

Qualifications

  • 5+ Years Experience in Concrete Repair or Related Heavy Construction Field is Required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in hydro demolition, concrete repair, and project management, with a strong emphasis on field experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) and relevant industry certifications (e.g., ACI) are a plus.
