Project Engineer

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Computer Aided Drafting Software and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in resolving process issues using engineering principles.
• Willingness to travel 25-30% for project development and execution.
• Preferred experience in roofing manufacturing or web process handling.
• Understanding of HMI, PLC, and PID controls loops preferred.
• Strong communication skills for presenting work to various stakeholders.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure safety in work practices and designs, reporting any unsafe conditions.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Operations, and Maintenance to develop project concepts and resolve issues.
• Utilize engineering principles for data-driven decision-making.
• Improve manufacturing and electro-mechanical systems reliability.
• Evaluate and enhance plant support systems.
• Manage capital projects and maintenance work-orders effectively, including scope, design, budget, planning, resources, execution, communication, justification, and documentation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key plant personnel to generate business opportunities.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Occasional exposure to various environmental conditions, including moving mechanical parts, fumes, extreme temperatures, and confined spaces.
• Work environment may involve loud noise levels.
