Overview

The Site Manager is a key member of the project team during the construction and installation phase for projects. The Site Manager provides the leadership on site to ensure a safe environment is maintained, and work is completed in a profitable and timely manner by developing and maintaining good working relations while representing company interests in dealing with the client, suppliers and third parties on site and off, and also working directly with the greater Project and Site Services Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed construction site coordination for the installation of the material handling systems.
  • Supervise and coordinate the mechanical and electrical installation with the engineering and installation teams. Maintain a strong emphasis on quality control.
  • Identify problem areas and concerns and ensure timely resolution directly or in cooperation with vendors and the project team as needed.
  • Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with the contract requirements.
  • Fully execute the Site Management SOP. Including the established safety and administrative processes in place for the Site Service team. (utilize the team to make sure you have the right answer).
  • Maintain close coordination and communication with the Project Manager, Customer, Contracting staff and third-party suppliers, engineering, and line manager.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as Site Manager or Installation Manager for automated material handling systems applications.
  • 10+years in the construction field, specifically in material handling.
  • Team leadership skills and experience within the material handling industry.
  • Sound application knowledge of automated material handling equipment such as AS/RS, pallet and case conveyors, sorters, AGV’s, monorails.
  • Strong experience in reading, understanding and translating various schematics and blueprints.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Well refined computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to travel over 75% with ongoing flexibility outside of approved PTO requests.
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances on sites and with evolving processes, new equipment types and standards, customer requirements.

Compensation

  • $95,000 to $115,000, depending on experience.
  • Bonus opportunity
  • Must be eligible without sponsorship.
