About the Role
The Program Manager / Coordinator will play a key role in the development and operationalizing of our programs and events.
Primary Responsibilities / You will
Program Coordination
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of special projects and program events.
- Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- For our various programs (e.g. Teen Talks, Conexión College to Career Program, and Development Cohorts)
- Attend all sessions and occasionally launch them
- Maintain communication with point of contact
- Coordinate guest speakers
- Support volunteer co-chairs
- Facilitate awards/prizes
- Support CEO during the mentor-mentee match-making process, such as organizing key notes and documentation.
- Coordinate check-in meetings between program team and program participants
- Coordinate Mentor Workshop Series sessions and other events
- Partner with Director of Business Development & Engagement to strengthen cohort community
Special Event Planning
- Colloborate in the development of event content and design
- Coordinate keynote speakers schedule
- For virtual events, coordinate and test all technology
- For in-person events, coordinate venue, giveaways, food, guest registration process, etc
- Coordinate event planning meetings with key cross-functional team members
Social Media Administration
- Support Director of Engagement in executing digital strategy
- Feature content from program sessions and events on all relevant platforms
- Coordinate and spotlight real-life stories-content in the form of briefs, interviews, videos, podcasts, photos and infographics
- Curate content that align with Conexión’s mission and values
- Measure and analyze impact of content to help with strategy direction
About You: You’re what Conexión is looking for if you have a strong combination of the following experiences and skills.
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Experience with some analysis, and taking initiative and using independent judgement
- A methodical and organized individual
- Driven self-learner and creative thinker
- Professional and disciplined
- Technical competency with various tools used by the organization, i.e., Office suite, Asana, Salesforce, and other project management tools
- Attention to detail
- Time management and capable of handling multiple initiatives and responsibilities
- Strong communication skills
- Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
Location: This position is predominantly remote. Ideally however, you will be local to Boston and able to commute into the city for the events that we are managing and will also have a supportive home office workspace.

Per recent pay transparency law changes in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, this position pays: $65,000 to $75,000
Final compensation packages are always subject to candidate experience, skills, and location.
