The Channel's founding Technical Board Members include former government leaders and IT executives passionate about bringing best-of-breed technology to the government.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Proposal Manager to join our team!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and crafting professional, persuasive, and compelling responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in the Government Contracting space. The Proposal Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather the necessary information. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting all technical, financial, and contractual and performance requirements to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), the Government Program Manager, and the Contractor’s senior management
  • Directly contribute to program efforts in several areas, including cost management/avoidance, schedule estimation and tracking, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities
  • Utilize expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents
  • Responsible for program/project management operations and resourcing of all program and project requirements, including staffing, GFE accountability, and tasking responses
  • Communicate and coordinate the resolution of all project related problems to the appropriate project Government lead
  • Provides expert guidance and direction to Government and Vendor senior level technicians and managers. Directs multiple contractor and subcontractors’ teams through to project completion

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in military research, development, test or evaluation
  • 5+ years of experience managing large programs or contracts in a technical environment
  • Experience supporting U.S. Army science and technology customers and programs
  • Experience with Army and Department of Defense major systems development and modernization
  • Knowledge of technical support methods for the Army’s Big 6 Modernization Priorities TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science

Nice If You Have

Experience with Federal government business development and proposal management

Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Business

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
