Summary

The Program Coordinator manages and coordinates the activity and development of the New England Children�s Behavioral Health Network (�NECBHN� or �Network�). The Network is an emerging organization in partnership with Bradley Hospital and Connecticut Children�s Hospital with the mission of improving children�s behavioral health across the region. The Network has a steering committee that informs the work in areas such as school-based mental health access and the continuum of care; workforce; and family and community engagement.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the NECBHN including but not limited to coordinating meetings events communications governance community outreach and fundraising activities. The Program Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Bradley REACH and will serve as a liaison to the NECBHN�s Steering Committee related groups and Founding Organizations. This position will foster professional and effective collaboration among various organizations leaders and policy makers focused on improving children�s behavioral health in our region.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Network including coordinating and scheduling meetings preparing agendas and meeting notes overseeing budgets and expenses and overall assistance with coordination and execution of Network activities.

Maintains and coordinates Network communications activity (e.g. website blog social media monthly newsletter material and postings).

Manages planning and logistics of Network events (in-person and virtual as determined by occasion) which may include identifying speakers preparing collateral reserving and preparing facilities and resources as needed.

Manages professional and collaborative relationships through consistent communications and providing timely updates.

Assists with the development implementation and coordination of the overall NECBHN growth strategy.

Identifies and communicates with community partners to improve the Network�s connections to families.

Identifies suitable funding opportunities for future projects and coordinates the grants application process.

Monitors impact against success metrics and provides ad hoc and regular reporting.

Pivots based on feedback from success metrics and environmental changes.

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Experience

The program coordinator should have an undergraduate degree in a field related to social and behavioral sciences policy or health care. A masters-level qualification is preferred but not essential.

We are open to many different levels of experience but 1-2 years of work experience is a minimum. We are open to candidates with a wide range of experience which could include for example health care providers education community and nonprofit organizations academia and state government. The program coordinator should have experience and/or interest in the following: � Strategic and policy issues related to children�s behavioral health

An understanding of key initiatives and the policy landscape in one or more New England states

Building connections and networking with key stakeholders

Community outreach and working in a way that embeds diversity equity and inclusion into the Network�s operations

Horizon scanning for emerging trends and helping the Network tailor its activity based on feedback and changing legislative and funding priorities

Coordinating meetings and governance bodies

Coordinating the process by which the organization becomes a standalone 501(c)3

Working with foundations and other funder organizations to develop funding proposals and report on progress

Collaborating across multiple partner organizations � Communications including social media newsletters etc

Managing websites and related technology e.g. SquareSpace MailChimp etc

Managing contracts with external consultants and partner organizations (without direct supervisory responsibility)

Basic Microsoft technology including Word Excel Powerpoint etc

Supervision & Work Arrangements

The Program Coordinator will be an employee of Bradley Hospital and will report on a day-to-day basis to the Director Bradley REACH who leads the Hospital�s engagement in the Network. This position is guaranteed for a year with the potential to extend beyond that if the Network is successful in securing future funding. The Program Coordinator may work in-person at Bradley Hospital in-person at Connecticut Children�s or remotely for some or all of the time although should live within travel distance of New England and be willing to travel to Bradley Hospital Connecticut Children�s and to other organizations in New England as required.
